Tim Long, a professor in the Department of Chemistry, recently was awarded the American Chemical Society’s Rubber Division Thermoplastic Elastomer Award. The award honors significant contributions to the advancement of the chemistry of thermoplastic elastomers, and includes a $4,000 prize. According to ACS, the award places particular emphasis on innovations that have yielded significant new commercial or patentable materials.
