Student Involvement
There are many ways to get involved in the science community now, as a student!
Student Ambassador Team
A group of academically-distinguished students who serve as ambassadors for the College of Science at university, college, and community events.
K-12 Outreach Opportunities
The college holds outreach events for middle school and high school students and teachers throughout the year—from short on-campus demos to several-day camps. If you are interested in volunteering (or working) to help at one or more of these events, contact Victoria Corbin (cvictoria@vt.edu).
Science Clubs
A fun way to share science and career information outside the lab and classroom.
Research
Study science. Do science. Doing science is inherently Ut Prosim. New discoveries help the community and world in countless ways.
The usual way to find research opportunities is to read up on the research projects that faculty are doing and email the ones whose research most intrigues you. You might also talk to your current professors about research opportunities (hint: go to their office hours).
