2022-23 Academy of Data Science Discovery Fund Call for Proposals
The Academy of Data Science is now accepting proposals for the 2022-23 Academy of Data Science Discovery Fund (ADSDF).
The ADSDF was established to enable successful proposals for external interdisciplinary research funding that include significant applications of data science methods and advanced computing to large, complex datasets that arise in scientific research, and to promote the development of data science methods in support of science research.
The ADSDF is open to all College of Science faculty members, including collegiate and research faculty. The award is a for a period of one year, with maximum amounts of $10,000 for an individual investigator and $20,000 for multiple investigators.
Proposals for the 2022-23 ADSDF will be reviewed by a committee of five faculty members – the Associate Dean for Research and four College of Science faculty members (including one faculty member each from Statistics and Mathematics).
Submissions (in PDF format) are due to Allison Craft (crafta@vt.edu) by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2022.
