Communication Timeline

November 1, 2024 Deadline for each college website to include updated information on orientation websites
December 1, 2024 Deadline for transfer students to accept the offer of admission
December 4, 2024 Colleges send a welcome email to deferred first-year accepts and transfer offers (College of Science welcome email will be sent by Vivek Shastry via Slate)
December 4, 2024 College to invite deferred First-Year and Transfer students to the College of Science Spring 2025 Virtual Academic Advising & Course Registration Canvas page with instructions on how to use HokieScheduler (Virginia Tech’s course registration system). Students will need to accept invitation.
December 6, 2024 Advisors email their students to introduce themselves, give them an idea of how advising will occur, and schedule advising appointments through Navigate campaign
