Communication Timeline

| May 15, 2024 | Deadline for first-year students to accept the offer of admission. Deadline for Summer Transfer students to accept the offer of admission. |
| May 1, 2024 | Deadline for each college website to include updated information on orientation websites. |
| May 6, 2024 | Colleges send a welcome email to first-year accepts and transfer offers (College of Science welcome email will be sent by Vivek Shastry via Slate). |
| May 20, 2024 |
Advisors email their First-Year students to introduce themselves, give them an idea how advising will occur, schedule advising appointments through Navigate campaign, and inform students what classes they need to have registered for in Hokie Scheduler. If there are errors, they will be discussed during academic advising appointments. |
| June 1, 2024 | Deadline for Fall Transfer students to accept the offer of admission. |
| June 6, 2024 | Advisors email their Transfer students to introduce themselves, give them an idea of how advising will occur, and schedule advising appointments through Navigate campaign. |
| June 7, 2024 | College to invite First-Year and Transfer students to the College of Science Summer 2024 Virtual Academic Advising & Course Registration Canvas page with instructions on how to use HokieScheduler (Virginia Tech’s course registration system). Students will need to accept the invitation. |
