Helps students enter a due date for a particular kind of assignment, and the program outputs a set of milestone dates from which students can work towards finishing their assignment. This can be used for research assignments, essays, presentations, or video assignments.

Provides students with access to constructive feedback and practical resources for improving oral presentations. Gain valuable presentation-related insight and develop the necessary toolsets to become successful speakers.

Knack Tutoring
Virginia Tech has proudly partnered with Knack — a platform enabling Virginia Tech students to book course-specific peer tutoring and mentoring services. Knack Tutors are fellow students who have previously aced the courses they offer assistance in; tutoring is completely free and sessions can take place in-person or online. Students resource to discover, access, create, sustain, and share information. Your spot to borrow books, articles, journals, eBooks, CDs/DVDs, and more. Check out the library if you need to borrow or schedule time for camera or audio equipment, board/tabletop games, computers and accessories, drones, 3D Scanning services, virtual reality, and more!

Peer Academic Coaching
Student Success Center staff members are available to meet with students individually to help you design a plan for success and provide academic counseling that meets your individual needs. These meetings typically occur on a weekly basis, but can be flexible depending on the student’s needs/schedule.

Departmental Tutoring
Chemistry Tutoring
Free tutoring to students by Alpha Chi Sigma (Professional Chemistry Fraternity).
Alpha Chi Sigma provides free tutoring services twice weekly in Davidson Hall. Most students come in requesting help for general and organic chemistry classes, but there are usually members available who can help you with many other classes.
CMDA Computing Consultants
Only available to declared Computational Modeling & Data Analytics (CMDA) Majors.
The CMDA Computing Consultants are a team of CMDA majors who offer coding help to CMDA students with all CMDA coding classes, CS 1064, CS 1114, CS 2064, CS 2114, R, Python, MATLAB, Java, and C!
Economics Tutoring
Free tutoring for ECON 2005 and ECON 2006.
Math Tutoring
The Virginia Tech Department of Mathematics has a tutoring lab available to students in most 1000 and 2000-level mathematics courses. The tutoring lab is staffed weekly by graduate and undergraduate students.
There is no charge for tutoring in the Mathematics Department Tutoring Lab.

Private Tutors: If students would like to send a request for a private tutor to the entire list of available math tutors, they can send an email to math_tutors-g@vt.edu with their contact information and request. They need to make sure to indicate the course in the subject line of the email and interested tutors will respond directly to them.
Private tutors will charge a per session fee.

Physics Common Hours
Assigned Teaching Assistants will be available to answer questions from Physics 2205, 2206, 2305, 2306, 2215, 2216.
Assigned Teaching Assistants may answer questions regarding PHYS 2305, 2306, 2215, and 2216 lab assignments.
STAT Lab
The purpose of STAT Lab is to centralize office hours offered by graduate students in the department. By centralizing, the statistics department will be able to help students struggling in statistics undergraduate courses free of charge.
STAT Lab takes place in evenings of Sunday-Thursday. Exact times and locations will change semester to semester depending on availability of STAT Lab tutors.
