| Graduation with Distinction | |
To be eligible for graduation with distinction, an undergraduate student must have completed in residence at Virginia Tech a minimum of 60 credits and earn a minimum overall GPA of 3.40 or above. Note: Credit for which a grade is not awarded will not be used in the determination of honors (AP, CLEP, transfer, credit by examination, etc.) |

| Graduation Ceremonies |
Graduation is confirmed in May, August, and December of each year. Formal ceremonies occur in May and December. Students who complete their requirements in the summer are permitted to participate in the May ceremony prior to the summer term or they may wait to participate in the December ceremony. |
