SOLAR ECLIPSE

Experience a celestial phenomenon

April 8, 2024 • 2:30-4pm
The Drillfield

During the upcoming North American total solar eclipse, Blacksburg will experience approximately 88% coverage, a happening that won't come again for another 20 years.

Don't let this opportunity eclipse you!

Join us on the Drillfield for safely viewing the solar eclipse, enjoy celestial treats like Moon Pies and Sunkist, and enter the raffle for a limited-edition solar eclipse t-shirt.

We’ll have free eclipse glasses so you can safely observe. Join us beginning at 2:30, and be sure to arrive by 3 p.m. for the peak eclipse. Don’t miss out.

Event sponsored by the College of Science and Department of Physics.
