3+3 Accelerated Law Program
Fast-Track Your Legal Career
Virginia Tech now offers an accelerated pathway to law school through a partnership with the prestigious Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University (GMU). With the 3+3 program, you can earn your bachelor’s degree and law degree in just six years instead of seven.
Why Choose 3+3?
- Save time and skip a full year of undergraduate coursework.
- Save money with one year less of tuition and living costs.
- Get ahead and enter the legal field earlier, with a competitive edge.
Who’s Eligible?
The program is open to all majors at Virginia Tech. To qualify, you’ll need to:
- Maintain a minimum 3.4 GPA
- Earn an LSAT score at or above GMU’s 25th percentile
- Complete your core major requirements by the end of your junior year
How It Works
- Apply by January of your third year at Virginia Tech.
- Participate in an admissions interview with Scalia Law.
- If admitted, you’ll begin law school in your fourth year where your first year courses count as your remaining electives toward your bachelor’s degree.
